Alfa Romeo – 33Stradale

How to implement 3d printing technologies in the automotive industries.

– BRAND:

From historical research about the coachbuilders, the name of designer Franco Scaglione is the one that stands out for his year of experience and number of project in the one-off industries. The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, one of his  most important work, has been selected as reference and inspiration for this project.

 – THE CONCEPT:

The one-off coachbuilder industries offer wide opportunity for the 3d prints technologies to get implemented in. Additive manufacturing play a key role for ultimate customization level. Starting form a mini-series clients could get a bespoke car elements (such as light, grids, mirros support…) tailored on their desire.

– THE CAR:

The final project is based on Laferrari’s platform because of that the original concept as been redesigned in order to fit that selected platform. The elements witch have influenced the redesigned the most are: carbon cell, front bonnet hot hair outlets,  rear hot hair outlets and in the end the exhaust.
The interiors design focus is to keep it as simple as possible, so that create a link with the exterior design language.
